Anti-Wrinkle Treatments

Non-surgical procedures

Anti-wrinkle treatments are one of the most common non-surgical cosmetic treatments performed all around the world. This is because they are a way to soften lines and wrinkles on the face, caused by muscle movement.

Anti-wrinkle FAQs

At what age is anti-wrinkle treatment typically recommended?

As each patient’s situation is unique, individual assessment is conducted to determine the appropriateness of anti-wrinkle treatment. Typically, patients start noticing the emergence of wrinkles in their early thirties, mainly due to a decline in collagen production.

You will have a consultation to determine the areas you would like to treat and your ideal outcome. The treatment itself then takes about 10 minutes.

Can antiwrinkle treatments prevent wrinkles?

Addressing fine lines at an early stage can prevent their progression in to deeper wrinkles over time. However, fine line and wrinkles result from muscle movement as well as UV damage, ageing, genetics and our general health. Dr Taylor recommends a comprehensive  treatment approach to addressing fine lines and wrinkles, not simply minimising muscle movement.

When will I see results?

Depending on the modality, results can be seen as early as 14 days, up to 6 weeks.

How long does the treatment last?

Treatments typically last 3-4 months, however, much like the gym, it is important to follow a maintenance program for you skin to achieve ongoing results.

Will I be able to move my face?

Dr Taylor recommends a comprehensive  treatment approach to addressing fine lines and wrinkles, not simply minimising muscle movement. Therefore the natural movement and appearance of the face are preserved.

Frequently Asked Questions

Am I a good candidate for abdominoplasty surgery?
The best candidates for abdominoplasty surgery patients are those who are fit, have already achieved any weight loss goals. Abdominoplasty surgery is not a substitute for diet and exercise and can be associated with increased risks in patients who are overweight or obese. Women who are planning future pregnancies should also delay abdominoplasty surgery.
How much does breast reconstruction surgery cost?
The cost for breast reconstruction is determined by the extent and complexity of the procedure, as well as surgeon costs, anaesthetist fees, hospital fees, and post-operative recovery costs. Because of its reconstructive nature, a portion of the procedure costs may be covered by Medicare or your private health insurer, but you will need to check what criteria you must meet to be eligible.
What is recovery from breast revision like?
Recovery from breast revision surgery will be similar to the recovery experienced following the initial implant procedure. It is recommended that you minimise strenuous activity and exercise after surgery. You should also avoid wearing underwire bras to facilitate proper healing of the underlying breast tissue.
